FSBOstar came about after numerous FSBO transactions on both the buyer and seller side, frequently telling ourselves that there has to be a better company to provide advertising, tools, assistance, and pricing.
We completed our first FSBO transaction 20 years ago, and we’ve learned a lot since then. Our team has experienced anything and everything from shady realtors to sellers backing out to bad inspection reports, and much more. We will use our experience to help our customers avoid these situations.We don’t have fancy offices, it’s not a necessity for FSBO advertising. We don’t have a big staff on payroll. If we did, someone would have to pay for it – the customers – you. That’s not fair to you, it’s not best for the customers. Notice how the companies with these things charge significantly more for a similar service. We don’t want you to pay rent for us, we want you to successfully sell your own home and keep the commission savings – not give it to us for our staff and rent. Competitors boast about having a “brick and mortar” presence – and they’re making you pay for it. Does it help sell your home faster? No, buyers really won’t care.
We are also not realtors that are competing with you for buyers. After you get your listing with us, we won’t be your ‘competitors’ trying to sell our properties to get our commission ahead of you selling your home. Giving you advice and pricing assistance would be a huge conflict of interest, we wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if we were playing both sides like that. We believe in doing the right thing, and being competitors with the customers we assist would be the definition of conflict of interest – and we wouldn’t do that like some of our competitors. With FSBOstar, you selling your home is the only objective.
All that being said, we appreciate the communities we do business in and do our best to support them. We put our money where our mouth is – literally. We will donate a portion of our revenue to each year to a charity that supports the communities we live and work in, and our customers will help determine which charity.
